The best architectural projects of last year have been awarded!

The winners were presented with the “Təməl” Architecture Award and diplomas. As part of the awards program, 82 projects were selected out of 890 submissions, and the following projects were announced as winners in 6 categories:

1. “Restoration and Reconstruction of Buildings” category:
   Laureate of the “Təməl” Architecture Award – Sadigjan’s House project (author: Pietro Laureano).
   Second-degree diploma:
   Uzeyir Hajibeyli House-Museum project (author: Ali Emrah Ünlü).

2. “Transport, Industrial, Communication and Engineering Buildings and Structures” category:
   Laureate of the “Təməl” Architecture Award – Lachin Cable Car project (authors: Tomas Kovari, Ayyub Mirzayev).
   Second-degree diplomas:
   Data Center project in Hajigabul district (author: “Nitel Teknoloji ve Mühendislik A.Ş.” company).
   Soltanli Railway Station project, Jabrayil district (authors: Elnur Valiyev, Fidan Isbatova, Gulnara Mammadova, Mehpara Azizade).

3. “Architecture of Public Buildings” category:
   Laureate of the “Təməl”Architecture Award – Administrative Building of the State Customs Committee project (authors: Nariman Imamaliyev, Nigar Huseynova, Hidayat Mardanov, Nicat Nasibov).
   Second-degree diplomas:
   “Taza Bazar” Trade Complex project (authors: Karlis Saltups, Ardit Elezi).
   Fuzuli District Central Hospital project (author: “Chapman Taylor LLP” company).

4. “Architecture of Cultural and Religious Buildings” category:
   Laureate of the “Təməl” Architecture Award – Aghdam Occupation and Victory Museum project (authors: Fabrizio Conti, Alessandro Bianchi, Valentina Fiore Linares, Massimiliano Celani, Cinzia Grana, Paola Lombardi, Fizuli Aliyev, Ali Mammadov, Yashar Zeynalli).
   Second-degree diploma:
   Mosque project in Hadrut settlement, Khojavand district (authors: Elchin Aliyev, Selcan Jabrayilova).

5. “Public Spaces and Landscape Architecture” category:
   Laureate of the “Təməl” Architecture Award – Park project surrounding the Italy–Azerbaijan University (authors: Fizuli Aliyev, Elvin Mammadov, Ali Mammadov, Fidan Guliyeva).
   Second-degree diploma:
   Islam Safarli Street improvement project (author: Mansur Bukani).

6. “Architecture of Residential Complexes” category:
   Laureate of the “Təməl” Architecture Award – Reconstruction project of Horovlu village, Jabrayil district (authors: Elnur Valiyev, Fidan Isbatova, Agha Khaligzade, Nihad Hagverdiyev).
   Second-degree diplomas:
   Reconstruction project of Soltanli village, Jabrayil district (authors: Farhad Garayev, Ayten Abdullayeva).
   “Nakhchivan Residence” residential buildings project (author: “Chapman Taylor LLP” company).

Additionally, young architect Nurlan Tahirli was awarded a special prize at the initiative of the Union of Architects of Azerbaijan.
