Education: Baku State University, Faculty of History (Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees); Indiana University (USA), School of Public and Environmental Affairs (Master of Public Policy, PhD studies); University of Louisville (USA).
Professional activity: Associate Professor at the Faculty of Social Studies, Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic (2007–2008). Since 2008, he has been working at ADA University and currently serves as Dean of the School of Public and International Affairs.
Scientific and professional interests: Public policy, democracy and governance in post-Soviet republics, urban studies and urban planning.
Publications: Author of numerous peer-reviewed academic articles. His research has been published in reputable international journals such as Problems of Post-Communism, Eurasian Geography and Economics, Cultural Geographies, Cities, Urban Geography, and others.
